Caja de viento – accordion solo
The French composer Erik Satie , whose 150th birthday is celebrate in 2016, was a versatile artist who as the first one who dared to mix ” serious ” classical music composition with the popular music of the 1920ies in Paris. Therefore a transcription of those piece to the accordion is likely and Eva Zöllner, who is an internationally acclaimed soloist of her instrument, contrasts these short character pieces with the modern sound of her instrument. Her performance shows the accordion as a sensitive , expressive instrument and takes the audience into a world of intimate music and unexpected sounds
caja de viento is a series of workshops and concerts that aims to promote the contemporary accordion in Mexico. It is kindly supported as part of the Aňo Dual Alemania – Mexico and takes place in various Mexican cities between June 2016 and May 2017.
