German accordionist Eva Zöllner presents music by Erik Satie, Milica Djordjevic, Bent Sorensen, Georgina Derbez and Sofia Gubaidulina

The French composer Erik Satie , whose 150th birthday is celebrate in 2016, was a versatile artist who as the first one who dared to mix ” serious ” classical music composition with the popular music of the 1920ies in Paris. Therefore a transcription of those piece to the accordion is likely and Eva Zöllner, who is an internationally acclaimed soloist of her instrument, contrasts these short character pieces with the modern sound of her instrument. Her new program shows the accordion as a sensitive , expressive instrument and takes the audience into a world of intimate music and unexpected sounds
