It is a great honor for me to be awarded the newly established Performers’ Prize by the GNM. The appreciative words of the jury mean a great deal to me, so I would like to share them here:
“Her charismatic stage presence, interpretive brilliance and technical excellence, her performative versatility and spirit of innovation, the breadth, diversity, and quality of her repertoire—largely owed to her personal commitment—her pedagogical fervor in bringing the instrument closer to new generations of composers, all come together to form a body of work that already today constitutes a lifetime achievement which the GNM jury deems truly worthy of this award.”

This is certainly the most fun thing I have done in years. The album features six songs by Olly Sellwood for voice, accordion, and clarinet and electronics. Each composition is made of original microfictions by Rose Biggin & Keir Cooper set to music. Each story is separate, the collection crossing between fictional events, stretched language, interventions in systems of living, and art-historical fable. Recorded by Peter Falconer and the Zöllner-Roche-Duo in February 2024.

In December 2024 I was Artist in Residence at Sterkfontein Composers Meeting near Johannesburg.
It was a fantastic jouney which allowed my not only to premier 8 new pieces by South African Composers but also gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about the country, its culture and people. I am incredibly grateful to Goethe Institute fofr the support. The recordings from South Africa will be released soon.
Im Oktober 2024 war das Zöllner-Roche-Duo zwei Wochen auf Tournee in der Türkei. Wir waren Ensemble in Residence a n der Bilkent University in Ankara und beim Festival Izmir Days of New Music und haben 11 neue Stücke von jungen Türkischen Komponist:innen uraufgeführt. Die Reise wurde unterstützt vom Canada Council for the Arts und vom Goethe Institute und war auf persönlicher und musikalischer Ebene sehr motivieren. Vielen Dank an alle, die dazu beigetragen haben!
On June 1 2024 I had the privilege to perform Georges Aperghis´ new “Carsten Trio” with Talea Ensemble. I m grateful for this opportunity to get to know those fantastic musicians.
My solo album “voces, señales” is nominated for the Quarterly Critic’s Choice of Deutsche Schallplattenkritik which I am really happy about. My special thanks goes to sound engineer Claudia Neumann and Deutschlandfunk who helped me to realize these recordings.
